Auger Conveying / Gravity Fed Filler which is capable of filling a range of materials from extremely fine (5 micron) powders to granular blends (4 mesh).  Depending on the material, we use different augers to convey the material properly and either compress or loosen the material.  The rugged construction of the SA-20 baggers offers for a long life with low maintenance.  The machine features a large hopper bore accommodating up to 4" Filling Screw/Auger.  This Auger Bagger comes standard with an Electronic Weighing Package, Two-Speed Filling, and features a full flexure mounted weight mechanism for consistent support through scale travel.  Agitator assembly in the feed hopper prevents bridging and maintains a continuous feed of material to the filling screw.  We offer many different and custom agitator designs to fit you material's needs, such as Ribbon Agitator to convey the material to the rear of the hopper while feeding the auger, Paddle Agitator to keep the material flowing down directly into the auger, and more.

Bagger is simultaneous fill and gross/net weigh design.  Valve bags will be weighed on the bagger's integral 125lb capacity electronic scale.  Operator places the empty bag on the fill spout and starts the bagger.  Bagger initially fills the bag at high speed to a preset weight, then shifts to a slower, dribble feed rate to finish filling the bag to the final weight.  Regarding filling heavier bag weights or transfer filling into bulk containers, since the bagger is a continuous product feed design (not a batch feed or single charge fill), you can start the bagger and fill to any desired weight without stopping for a recharge cycle.  As with all baggers, the fill rate is dependent on may factors including the product density, particle size, and bag valve size.  The flow characteristics of the material and desired accuracy will determine how much slow fill / dribble feed fill time is needed.  Upon knowledge of your material we can better predict or test what fill times are to be expected.
